Pre Press
The key to a great printing is great pre press. That said, a little
planning can save a lot of disappointment. Before we ever start
your job, we review your objectives, budget, and timing. We take
that information and bring you the solutions to get your job done
right, making recommendations, offering guidance and discussing
reproduction issues. That way we can work together to ensure your
finished piece is as good as it can possibly be. Some of the topics
we cover include quality of existing art, stock selection, color
reproduction, and proofing.
File Prep & Preflight
Whether your project is an annual report, a newspaper ad, or a
product catalog, Olympus can quickly generate proofs that
accurately reflect your printed medium. We offer all major proofing
systems to address issues ranging from consistency of color to
saturation of ink. We assist you through all rounds of approval.
From proof to printed piece, your sales representative will always
advise you on the best options to suit your needs.
Digital Proofing & Analog
Proofing
With Olympus's digital proofing options, we can quickly generate
proofs that accurately reflect the printed medium - whether it's a
newspaper ad or a product catalog. Consistency of color across
multiple rounds of proofs and pressruns is our goal.Olympus offers
all major proofing systems. Your sales representative can advise
you on the best option for your needs.
Scanning/Retouching
Olympus Printing's reputation was established as a high-end color
separator. Today, our meticulous attention to art reproduction
shines in every piece we produce. Our expert staff will apply an
unwavering level of detail and care to your project. Should your
existing images need enhancement, we will scan and color correct
them. If you have special paper stocks, printing processes or inks
in mind, we'll prepare your art for optimal reproduction.
Printing
Traditional film output or computer-to-plate, our expert staff
works round-the-clock to ensure your printed piece not only meets
our high standards, but it delivers on time. Our technicians
continuously monitor your job to ensure it maintains crisp and
accurate color. We will work diligently to perfect the projects
that you have worked so hard on to bring to life. The highlight of
your job should always be when ink meets paper.
Direct To Plate
The future of printing is Computer-to-Plate (CTP) imaging. Today
publications and printers are struggling to move away from
traditional film output. Olympus embraced the new standard long ago
and now is one of the leading CTP printers in the country. Thanks to
our skill in handling and correcting digital files, the transition
to filmless operations has been a seamless one. CTP technology is
cleaner and it allows us to elevate reproduction values. Bottom
line, it's the next step in printing's evolution.
Full Bindery Technique
Some printers consider the job complete when the presses stop
running. Not Olympus, we demand a higher standard. We approach
finishing as methodically as we do other stages of the production
process. We care to prevent scuffing and cracking, right up to
delivery. We pride ourselves on the seamless matching of
crossovers. It takes an experienced eye to spot potential problems;
our bindery department works to ensure that each project is
finished to perfection. |
